Custom Flangettes

Lutco takes great pride in being able to customize flangettes to accommodate customer designs in order to optimize the assembly design for performance and economy.  With our vast stable of tooling we can often customize parts with minimal tooling costs.  The ability to adjust torque to enhance the life of the bearing to fit the application requirements provides increased value.

COMMON DESIGN ALTERNATIVES

  • Special Plating
  • Heat Treat – normally added to reduce wear or add rigidity
  • Material – high tensile steel is common for strength
  • Bolt Pattern
  • Hole Size or Shape – adding metric or round is common
  • Clipped sides to accommodate interference is common
  • Blind/Closed-End – protects the bearing or rotating shaft while reducing safety concerns and improving OSHA compliance
  • Fastener Inserts – the enhanced ease of assembly in restricted space
  • Weld Extension/Brackets – where volume does not warrant complete tooling
  • Thickness – often added or subtracted from standard for cost or strength
  • Identification/Markings – with sufficient volume your part number can be added
  • Bearing Fit (torque to swivel bearings) – light torque to allow misalignment from equipment flexing or insure rigidity with high torque
  • Bearing Seat (size) – often used to accommodate existing bolt patterns
  • Unique Bearing Seat and Bolt Pattern in various shapes – used to accommodate odd-sized inserts such as plastic balls
  • Speed Sensor Adaptation for monitoring of bearing speed
